Under a threatening sky 37401 'Mary Queen of Scots' hurries through Bescot Station on the 15th March 2000 with the loco hauled from Holyhead to BNS. There are obviously class 37 enthusiasts on board enjoying their ride!

With 37689 on 6X36, the Didcot to Ashchurch MOD working, running late the sun was higher and much further round at Besford enabling this shot to look reasonable as it returns south after running round in Worcester. Having been held at Abbotswood Junction I was able to race it to Besford having just photographed it at Norton. Although no expert on military hardware there seems to be a mixture of caterpillar people carriers and forces landrovers, having seen service in the Gulf I would expect.

On the 17th June 17 D9009 leaves Abbotswood Junction with 05.18 Burton on Trent to Shrewsbury via South Wales then Central Wales line. Two headboards which say Deltic Preservation Society and Pathfinders Tour.

46035 'Ixion' plus 47705 pass Woofferton on the 14th October with a special bound for Cardiff Central for the 1999 Rugby Union World Cup match between Wales and Samoa.

37673 approaches Blakedown on the 15th March 2000 with 6M71 from Metal Box sidings, Worcester to Bescot. It is unlikely to visit Brierley Hill this day, though it may if there were wagons to collect.
Personally this is one of my favourite photos.
