While stopped northbound at Wheeling, I hopped out for a quick grab shot of my consist before meeting a southbound and heading north again. Not a good shot by any means, but a couple days later, this consist would be scattered like broken toys in downtown Waukesha.

Wisconsin Central train TO49 lays scattered, after a semi truck hauling scrap pulled out into the path of this northbound at Main Street in downtown Waukesha Wisconsin. Amazingly enough, just minor injuries to the occupants of the semi truck. I will be posting more photos of this incident throughout the week.

The cause of the Waukesha derailment lays crunched between the first two locomotives of the consist. The Peterbuilt's driver, wife and young child pretty much walked away with minor injuries. I wonder if he is a little more cautious now.

Hazardous materials handlers have placed retaining material around the scene in downtown Waukesha, as a local fuel company pumps the remaining fuel from the locomotives that hasn't been spilled.
