So pleased to see Simon back when he came to lop the trees at the bottom of our garden.
He had a fall at work, spending 10 days in hospital and 10 months off work in recovery.
He told me that during this time and out of sheer boredom he started a small business milling and crafting wood to make cheese boards, table tops etc.
I look forward to visiting his stall at a local indoor market and seeing some of his pieces.

Spock and his friend Merlin, beautiful whippets, now live next door to us. I fear that my portrait shows Spock a little severe, whereas in reality he is so gentle.
I guess he may have been startled to find himself the object of my attention with my camera.
One of his humans did express a liking for the photo.....I'm really not sure and present it here and no doubt you will tell me what you think....

En route to The Hospital of St Cross and Almshouse of Noble Poverty one day via the water meadows, I met Chris who asked me for directions. The outcome of this meeting was her portrait among my entries for The Human Family group, and which I have now converted to mono.
We were both short of time so Chris, on her travels from Australia, emailed me some information for the narrative. I still remember:
"We all need someone to care about us, a roof over our heads, something to eat, to be at peace... plus that extra something that transports us and makes life worth living."
