I was struggling a bit with this week's theme of Macro Mondays: Pareidolia, as I didn't want to repeat myself too much
So I was fooling around with a black cloth, glitter foam rubber and a clip-on rear light I use as additional light when riding my bike. I wanted to create some ominous atmosphere with a creature lurking in the dark.
I don't know whether this images really qualifies for pareidolia and whether I will take part tomorrow as I will be busy (again ; ))
So I decided to upload it today ... just for fun

... it's actually a Penguin ; ))
Macro Mondays - theme: keychain
Part of a key chain pendant that comes with additional benefits: the feet and wings of the penguin can be used as a bottle opener. I bought it at an outdoor supplier some time ago to use it as a gift, but it's still here : ))
see here for the full size of the penguins:

winter on the mountain 'Schauinsland'
(= "look-into-the-country") at Black Forest, Germany, at an elevation of 1,284 m (4,213 ft) above sea level.
Due to its exposed location on the "Rheinebene" (Rhine Plain) which the Schauinsland rises from, there is a lot of strong wind, mainly from the west. Over the course of many decades, this has led to unusual forms of the red beech trees growing there. They are called 'wind beeches'.
It was biting cold and windy that day
(and no, that's no halo around the tree on the left hand side; it's a cloud formation behind it ; )

taken in January 2021 when the underground / tube of my hometown wasn't finished yet and the trams (streetcars) were still running above-ground through the illuminated pedestrian road
combination of motion blur and ICM by doing some panning - and some additional tweaking in Color and Analog Efex as well as Topaz Studio 2
I hope you all enjoy the last days of the year ✨️
