twenty minutes earlier I could barely see my hand in front of my face in the cloud, wind and rain.

A distant long lens shot as the clouds lifted off the summit of Pillar, taken on my way up Dale Head from Honister.

I still wonder why I took this lazily on my lightweight 24-200 when I had the big lump of the 100-400 in the rucksack. I carried that beast around all day and never got it out once! Similarly with the tripod hanging on the back of my bag!
