Big momma brown bear jumped off the wall next to her adopted two baby black bear cubs who were busy in mock fight to signal it was time to move on to the next neighbor. This time i had to venture into the yard to get this shot - i felt like a zoo keeper. There was a tense standoff moment with one of the black bear cubs who stayed behind to destroy my tarp - he walked over towards me to the tree and stood facing me - not sure how this was going to play out. Pictures of the cub shown in previous shots during that standoff. I did have an escape route set up.

Taken on my breezeway 7 feet from my patio door in case brownie changed his mind about leaving. Quite adept at climbing stairs and ever mindful that I was there. This beautiful brown bear will always be welcome in my backyard.- when i'm not using it.

Here the bear is just off the porch i am on and by the look on the bear's face he's wondering why i would come out to greet him - the open patio door just behind me in case i have to dash in - but he shows no aggression nor curiosity. He or she seems to have adopted two black bear cubs - which i've never seen before - who are play fighting at the end of my yard. I would have to stand where the bear is now to get shots of them so i missed that party.
