The tinted windows of Liège-Guillemins are a sight to see. Built in 2009, this was the fourth station built on this site, with a price tag of about about 312 million euros. The first station was built in 1842 and demolished in 1863, the second 1863 - 1958 and the third 1958 - 2009. The tinted windows are a temporary art exhibit by artist Daniel Buren, while the station was designed by Spanish architect Santiago Calatrava.

A SNCB (National Railway Company of Belgium ) commuter train skirts along the Meuse River. On the opposite side of the river, high above the town of Dinant, sits the built fortress Citadelle de Dinant, built in medieval times.
