A beautiful Fox Cub

I think this was my favourite wildlife moment to date. We locked eyes, I pulled my camera up and snapped this shot, and then it disappeared back into the den. The whole interaction couldn't have been more than 2 seconds, but it was one of those amazing moments that make wildlife photography so special 😊

I could have edited to add more saturation to make the picture pop more, but I felt like it made more sense to keep it as close to how the scene actually looked.

Story time:

This may not be the best fox cub shot you will ever see, but please note that there was no baiting or calls or anything used to get this shot. My wife's sister had seen some foxes while out on a walk, she told me and so my father in law drove me out to where they were seen and we walked about to see if we could find any to get a shot.

We saw a female fox staring at us from the bushes, but she disappeared once we noticed her. We followed around to see if we could see her again but no luck. As we crested a small hill, my father in law pointed and said look and there was this little guy outside this den. I met his eyes, raised the camera and snapped this shot, he then disappeared back into the den and we immediately left the vicinity so not to cause any discomfort.
