An awesome sunset over the rangelands of the Ocate volcanic field. I felt like I nearly froze my fingers while taking a ton of different shots of this sunset. It was just me and the cold wind out there...and a few cows and elk here and there.

After a day of complete and dense cloud cover, the clouds started clearing to the west just before sunset, allowing some rays to break through and spotlight some rocky features of Palo Duro Canyon.
