The hills of Cincinnati were so foggy today with a fine mist falling all day long.
I found a vantage point and took a series of photos.
Here is one.
There was a hawk crying out the entire time I was looking out over this valley (this is the Millcreek valley in Cincinnati... my house is about a half mile off the photo to the right). The hawk gave the experience an eerie, lonely feeling. It was quite nice!!
I tried to reflect that feeling in the photo.

There was a little historical museum, which was closed, and I saw this cup sitting inside on the windowsill. I actually climbed up onto a bench so I could be level with it... in full view of about 20 nicely dressed rich sorts of folks all sitting at an outside cafe in this historic square.
They all got quiet for a moment and then politely pretended I didn't exist.
This is all you-guys' fault. I wouldn't be getting so gutsy without the examples from all of you, my dear Flickr friends!
I don't usually do textures, but I did a little texturing on this one because it was asking for it. "PLEASE make me look like a painting!" it kept saying.
Used a program I never hear anyone mention... Photostudio (the Mac version).

A whole long stretch of Lantana in every available color attracts many creatures. Here is a female Ruby Throated Hummingbird feeding happily in the sunshine. (sorry there is no ruby colored throat... only the males have them! I saw no males at all this day!)
