I got pretty close here, but did get a shadow across the wing from the plants around this butterfly. Found trailside, in Cades Cove, Great Smoky Mountains, on the way to Abrams Falls.

Spring must be here-- the butterflies are out and about! This one didn't pose long-- frantic flitting here, there, and everywhere.
This is a first for me-- seen in the TN mountains last weekend, with temps in the 70s. Happy March!
