Moulton Barn-- a testament to the byegone era of 1860s homesteading in the Jackson Hole area. Gorgeous setting at the base of the Grand Tetons--- but too overcast to do justice to the mountains when we visited

On the way home from our African Safari, we stopped over for a few days in Amsterdam. Beautiful city! We spent days walking and exploring. The bridges over the canals make such gorgeous vantage points.

The city of stone on the mountainside. Stone archway at the bottom of stairs down the terraced hillside Zoom to see details of the background more clearly.

These arched doorways were engineered in such a way that from either direction it appeared that the doorway narrowed as you entered.

In ancient Egypt, the cobra signified protection, and also was a symbol of deity. These cobras carved along the top of a staircase near the step pyramid of Saqqara have stood the test of time

Built around 2630 BC, the Pyramid of Djoser is the world's oldest and most iconic pyramid. Located in Saqqara, Egypt, it was built for the Pharaoh Djoser and is the first known pyramid of its kind.
