Just back from an amazing tour through some of the wonders of Peru and Ecuador. We were constantly amazed by the natural wonders, and the wildlife surrounding us.

Had the opportunity to explore 4 of the Galapagos islands via yacht in the Galapagos National Park. This gorgeous "smiling" Galapagos Sea Lion was one of dozens we hiked by along the beach. They have no fear of people, and are well protected in the National Park.

We had not one, but TWO opportunities to explore the amazing ruins of Machu Picchu, Peru. The Incan town from the 1400s is being excavated and rebuilt by archeologists--- amazing engineering and use of precise terracing on the steep mountain slopes.

Such beautiful, noisy birds! We had small flocks of them winging over us, especially before dawn and towards dusk each day.

They prefer to be up in the canopy, so getting a clear look at them was indeed a challenge.

This was in the rainforest of the Amazon headwaters, Madre de Dios, Peru.
