Macro Monday - Crinkled, wrinkled, folded or creased

I've always wanted to make an origami boat so today's MM theme seemed the ideal time. It wasn't as easy as I thought, especially getting the sizing right to make it tiny enough for the MM rules. There is room for improvement. I then set up a metal baking tray with some gravel and pebbles and positioned my boat. The result was okay but I wasn't enamoured with it. I then took a photo of some waxed paper that I had previously crinkled and coloured with metallic wax. Merged the two which gave me something I was happier with. I thought the jewel like colours resembled the sea. HMM

It's been a dull wet day and this is all I managed to get a shot of. I think this is a bridle but I'm sure someone will correct me if I'm wrong.

24/31: October 2018: A month in 31 pictures

I'm kind of getting hooked on this 'shades of' theme. Sorry if it's getting boring but all is fair in a 365, and they do take a while to set up...there is a lot of faffery involved. I know the spoons aren't purple but I thought they added a bit of interest and they are tied with a purple ribbon.

Well that month went quickly. Great to catch up with everyone and see all your photos...Another year bites the dust...See you all next October when we're all another year older!

I hope you'll forgive me for posting another shot of my gorgeous Grandson (well, we think he's gorgeous!). His Mum asked me to do a little photoshoot of him in his pumpkin costume and here he is destroying a paper pumpkin that we were trying to distract him with. He is eight months now and has four teeth, they can just about be seen here.
