Dark Red Ramone appears in the first 'Cars' movie during a segue discussion between Lightning McQueen and Sally Carrera discussing the introduction of the Interstate Highway bypassing the traditional Route 66 traffic entering Radiator Springs. This would correspond to the early 1960s, based on Ramone being the newest car in the movie, a modified 1959 Chevrolet Impala Sport Coupe.
