At Chena Hot Springs northeast of Fairbanks Alaska, featuring a full service bar. They will carve a 'glass' for you out of ice, and serve your chilled drink in it.

Everything at the Ice Palace is made of.... ice.

I have never seen wild callas (Calla palustris) so large, so lush. Leaves were easily 5-6 inches (12-15cm) across. This colony was growing in a sunken, swampy, seasonal wetland area near Creamer's Field in Fairbanks.

Coming in to the Fairbanks International Airport, overlooking the Tanana River (looking towards Tok, some 210 miles distant).

The river was high at this point more than a week ago, but was not flooding.

This yellow Cessna Grand Caravan turned beautifully golden under the rainbow in the sunlight after a storm.

This is about as high as the sun rises in winter, in Fairbanks Alaska.

Ice crystals in the air contributed to bright and colorful parhelia (sundogs) and halo.
