The 'royal sentinel' on the backbone of the Chilkat Pass on the Haines Highway, in northern BC Canada just north of Pleasant Camp border crossing. One of my favorite views along this wild and beautiful 'National Scenic Byway' shared by Canada and Alaska.
I am not sure which province this section is in, either southern Yukon, or northern B.C.... (very few road markings, and definitely 'off the grid') hoping someone who lives in the area (very few residents as well) will let me know.

Haines Highway, between Haines Alaska on the Gulf of Alaska coast, to Haines Junction, Yukon Territory, Canada.
This tops the list of my favorite highways in the far north.
Taken through the windshield of the Kenworth on our haul route, hence the dark greenish coloration.

Kluane Lake is as still as glass, smooth as a mirror. Unusual for this usually wind-blown lake. 10:30 P. M. in the Yukon Territory of Canada.

Abandoned long ago, before the Alaska Highway was built... gold prospector Alexander Clark Fisher built his cabin in 1906. His grave marker is up on the side of this Sheep Mountain on Kluane Lake, YT Canada.
Interesting how rhubarb plants have survived these 100+ years in this very harsh environment, cold, windy and very dry.

I have so many 'favorite' views along the South Klondike Highway between Skagway Alaska and Whitehorse YT... but the views near the Port of Entry into Canada at Fraser BC has got to be near the top. High alpine, rocky slopes and crystal clear mountain lakes fill every valley.
