Camped at the Arctic Circle on the Dalton Highway, still plenty of trees at this latitude, so the sun moves among them at midnight.

Pretty Alaska spiraea flowers (Spiraea beauverdiana) growing in the far north where trees are not able to grow. Like jewels in the tundra.

Indigenous to amphia-berengian areas, central and northern Alaska as well as the Yukon, Northwest Territory, and far northeaster areas of Russia ie Kamchatka Peninsula.
