Turnagain Arm in Cook Inlet near Anchorage is filling with moving pan ice, shooshing inland with the incoming tide.

Earthquake Park, at the end of Northern Lights Blvd Anchorage AK. I believe that is Fire Island out in the Inlet.

A layer of freezing fog (not ice fog) near the end of the runway at Anchorage Airport, air traffic directly overhead while we were at Earthquake Park.

A colossus among the giant Wrangells, 16,237 foot Mt Sanford always haunts me when I gaze on it, bringing to mind the 1948 DC-4 plane crash on this mighty volcano, in which all 30 occupants perished, their remains forever entombed under ice and snow.

Just off the end of the runway at Anchorage International, between the devil and the deep blue sea... a strip of land now called Earthquake Park.
