At first glance I thought this might be a Destroying Angel, but it's gills are not white, as in that species.

I don't know what it is, but it was so interesting to look at; it's lovely gills, large 4" (10cm) white cap, clinging membanous ring on it's stem.

Because I think it is in the amanita family of agarics, my simple reckoning is that it is poisonous. If anyone knows it's identity, I would love to hear from you.
