The American Orient Express (AOE) was a privately-owned, ultra-luxurious passenger train which operated in conjunction with Amtrak from 1994 until 2008. Its lineage can be traced back to the American-European Express (AEE), a short-lived experience hosted from 1989 until 1991. Here the train leaves Galesburg as the 2nd section of the Zephyr bound for Denver.
