Photograph taken across Bristol Harbour from the site of SS Great Britain, a vessel built by Isambard Kingdom Brunel, one of the greatest engineers of his time.
I particularly liked the colourful houses on the top of the hill!

As Spring has officially sprung in the Northern Hemisphere, I thought a flower photograph was in order so found this in my archives from last year.
I am happy to admit I know virtually nothing about flowers, but I believe this is a garden cosmos. What I do know is flowers brighten up our lives and that cannot be a bad thing

Have not been out to take photographs for several months but found this amongst my archives. Taken at Greys Court, a National Trust property near Henley on Thames in Oxfordshire.
At the time I remember thinking what a peaceful corner this was, tucked away off another path and ideal for quiet reflection. Not sure why I didn’t upload it at the time but that is easily rectified now!

This timber framed house dating from circa 16-17th century is located in the lovely Suffolk village of Cavendish.
It is a grade 2 listed building which gives it legal protection from demolition or major alteration without prior approval from the local authority – West Suffolk District Council.

As the name suggests, this 17th century cottage is situated opposite St Peters Church in the quiet village of Welford on Avon in Warwickshire. Sadly, there were cars parked in front of the cottages so had to make do with end elevation!
The cottage is a grade 2 listed building which gives it legal protection from demolition or major alteration without prior approval from the Local Authority – Stratford on Avon District Council.
