Selsey Life Boat Station on a dull, overcast and wet August Bank Holiday weekend. At least we could go inside and look at the life boat, which was very impressive, as was the history of the station, the rescues performed and lives saved over more than 150 years.

Boxgrove Priory was founded by Robert de Haye around 1066 and dissolved on the orders of King Henry VIII in 1536. All that remains today is this Church dedicated to St Mary and St Blaise which stands in a very 'English' country church yard.

A lovely spot on a sunny day for lunch and a drink. They also sell superb fruit scones which I have been known to have occasionally with clotted cream and strawberry jam - mmmm!!
