Taken on a recent a recent visit to Hinton Ampner, a National Trust property near Bramdean in Hampshire.
The property dates from 1793 and was the home of the Dutton family. The last owner, Ralph Dutton, had no heirs when he died in 1985 so passed it to the National Trust. This is the south side of the house which has superb views over the South Downs countryside.
The house is a grade 2 listed building which gives it legal protection from demolition or major alterations without prior approval from the local authority – Winchester Council.
The property is open to the public.

This Church dates from circa 13th century and is a grade II listed building although it was deconsecrated many years ago and abandoned. The graves are very old and untended so nature is gradually reclaiming them and the building.
A sad end to what was once an important part of a small rural community.

This photograph was taken in June last year during a 1940's day in the village of Southwick, Hampshire. It has languished on my computer since then so decided it was time to show it the light of day. For a change I thought I would upload something in black and white
