Crypt with Gormley statue at Winchester Cathedral.

When the water table is high the crypt floods as is the case here. The statue by Gormley, Sound II (from 1986), is based on his own body. The hands are cupped holding water. According tour tour guide, when younger tourists visit they assume that the statue is studying its mobile phone.
