I came across this windmill standing all by itself in a field near the edge of a forest at a local nature center. Not sure why it's there...maybe it's all that is left of a farmstead that once was there.

I don't know the name of these pretty little wildflowers--perhaps someone can help with ID--but I surely liked the way that the light was hitting them.

Here's a view of the house at the Chellberg farm, located within the Indiana Dunes National Lakeshore in northwest Indiana. Anders and Johanna Chellberg were among the many Swedish immigrants who purchased land and began farming in the area in the 1860s. The National Park Service has restored the house and the farm to its appearance around 1900.
