While chugging down a local river a slim, long, wooden boat sped along side us and to our surprise nudged next to our boat and a small girl jumped from her boat to ours. She was selling sodas, overpriced, but I bought one for her effort.
This video shows her jumping back onto the boat.
NOTE: in the other boat the boy is missing an arm, yet he pilots the boat.

Imagine walking down a dark Taiwanese street during the Moon Festival. Fireworks are seen on nearly every street and outside of people's home and then suddenly a haunting tune comes out from among the celebrating din: this is the tune I experienced and enjoyed it too.

Back in November of 2007 I was in ChiaYi, Taiwan visiting a friend and while I was there one morning I stumbled upon this colorful parade. Such a wonderful group of children and adults with smiles and wonderment abound. It still makes me smile to see these photos. I ...hope you enjoy them also. Sorry if the music is a bit loud. Enjoy!
