Some situations and interactions make me want to go back to smoking (but I never ever will!!!).
No one evert starts smoking thinking about stopping smoking- it's a brutal process by which I would wish upon no one. The only reason I have not picked it up again, despite countless stressful situations, is simply because I never want to go through that quitting experience again. Or the cost. Or the constant unhealthy feeling walking up stairs (and so on...).
I give support to anyone I know who is quitting because it's hard, but if I did it then anyone can. I never want to do that again, but some days, it seems like I'd be up for it to de-stress!!!

Today's summit was one I was half familiar with… The Twin Sisters and their twin peaks sit straight across from Longs Leak and provide one of the best panoramic views of Longs Peak you can get. You can see Longs and all the surrounding mountains (Mount Meeker, Mount Lady Washington, Estes Cone, etc.). I had done this hike before, but I only did one of the two peaks on Twin Sisters- today I did them both.
This hike was everything I remembered: it was just up the whole way. The trail winds through Rocky Mountain National Park, through the National Forest, and then back into the park. It didn't take me too long to summit, and it was such a great feeling standing on top of that beauty. This made every part of my day!

To complete my lifetime dream of owning a set of the National Parks Quarters, I am building a wood and stained glass display to house the Quarters. All of the quarter holes are drilled, and the routing where the stained glass will go has begun. I see some obstacles that I'll have to think through, but overall I like how this is coming (slow though it may be!)

Drumstick method number two: putting it on the smoker with some mesquite wood. I also made a root beer BBQ sauce to go with it, and the smoked corn on the cob was over the top heaven!
