A mix of a bit of warmth (mid-teens Centigrade rather than the single figure temperatures we've had up to now) and rain showers, has resulted in a big burst of growth everywhere such as these grasses in this neighbouring pasture field.
The warmth has also brought out the clegs (horse-flies), a few of which are the little black 'smudges' in the skyline.
The view extends over the rooftops of Alnwick to the distant North Sea at Alnmouth.

A huge golf ball sits on the first tee at the newly-opened Alnwick Moor golf course awaiting the arrival of celebrity guests Hagrid and Grawp. The 62,220 yard course is latest addition to the area's amenities.
It has been created to avoid any hints of discrimination against 'big folk' following the opening last week of the children's fantasy playground 'Lilidorei at The Alnwick Garden', the £15.5m creation of the Duchess of Northumberland.
