Soo 1512 on the former Milwaukee Road C&E South Line, NB on Larabee passing the big Montgomery Ward warehouse (engine has just crossed Chicago Ave.). The track passed along the sidewalk in front of the building, making for an interesting sight. August 24, 1990. All condos today, no tracks to be found!

Looking south down Canal Street we see Milwaukee Road passenger units backing out of Union Station. There is also a spur along the east side of Canal, and in the foreground a diamond where the CNW leads to Carrol Ave. / Navy Pier cross over (the CNW bridge is out of view just past the building at the left). At right is the back of the Cassidy Tire Co. building. Behind the train you can see the Lake St L. 6-8-66.
