Dusty is sure growing up!

It was a day of firsts for him. First real truck ride with the other three dogs, first time playing in a mountain stream, first time just being one of the pack running free.

He's every bit as much of a water dog as Dash. He was fearless running into the water, diving, climbing and jumping off rocks, etc.

Dash was by his side the entire time. It was a really nice day.

Dusty at seven-plus months.

His ability to stop, pose, and stay is spot on. His recall when called not so much. Priorities, I guess.

Actually, he's not as bad as I make him out to be. We're making real progress in his training.

Dusty has a new friend, Cloe, that he's met at the dog park. These two get along so incredibly well. Not only can she match his gravity defying sprints, but they seem to synchronize their gaits perfectly. At 20 frames per second, I was blown away at how they were able to match each other step for step.

He is doing well. He seems healthy, happy, and more importantly, he is not antagonizing the other dogs as much as he did when he was younger. He's fitting into the pack nicely. I'm happy.
