With the closure of the branch of WH Smith in the Mall on 18 January, the Post Office will have to go as well, although I don't think that a town centre replacement has yet been announced.

Preston Bus Solo SR 47705 / PN08SVR turns from London Road onto Grove Road heading to Walton le Dale park and ride.

These park and ride Solo SRs were delivered to Preston bus in their final year of operation. The bus war with Stagecoach was in full swing by this time and Stagecoach bought Preston Bus at the start of 2009.

As I work the other side of the City, it's the first time I've been able to document the ongoing Maid Marian Way works, which have seen the roundabout at the junctions of Derby Road, Toll House Hill, Upper Parliament Street and Maid Marian Way replaced with a large T junction, the neighbouring junction at Mount Street being remodelled at the same time.

403 is seen having an away day from the 6, entering Nottingham amongst all the road works on a 34 from University of Nottingham, Dunkirk and QMC.
