London Buslines was formed to bid for bus services being put out to tender by London Buses as part of the tendering of London bus services. It was owned by coach company proprietor Len Wright and began trading on 13/07/1985, when it became the first private operator to operate a London Buses service, the 81 from Hounslow to Slough using a motley collection of former LT DMS's. Fleet improvement was made over the following years and this Lynx was new in 06/1987. It is seen here in Hounslow Bus Station, in 05/1989 loading for a run on the 81 to Slough. There were six of these Lynx(751-6: D751-6DLO) in the batch and were the fledgling operator's first new vehicles.

The camera being a Praktica MTL3.

New, along with sister E298OMG, to Safeguard in 05/1988, this Cummins powered Lynx is seen here leaving Guildford Friary Bus Station on 28/12/1990. Two other Lynx were operated, D165HML, new in 07/1987 and E51MMT, new in 11/1987. Both were Leyland TL11 powered.

The camera being a Praktica MTL3 with the film being the excellent 'Fujichrome' colourslide.

Fishwick's, now sadly no longer, were a loyal Leyland customer. Well they were based in Leyland's back yard and operated a few Leyland demo. vehicles on their behalf. Although the Lynx was built at Workington, Fishwick's were still buying Leyland buses at this time. New in 01/1992, this Lynx is seen here having just departed it's stand at Preston Bus Station in 05/1993 when operating trunk Service 115 Leyland via Croston Road. Only three other Lynx II's were bought, 4/5, H64/5CCK, in 04/1991 and 14, J14JFS, in 03/1992. Sadly, Fishwick's ceased trading on 24/10/2015 after entering administration. Pulling away from it's stand behind the Lynx, is, Stagecoach Ribble Buses, 214, D734YBV, a Robin Hood City Nippy bodied Iveco 49.10. This was new to the Preston based Zippy operation of UTB Minibuses, numbered 044, in 05/1987 and was acquired by Ribble with the Zippy operations.

The camera being a Praktica MTL3 with the film being a Boots Colourslide II.

Unfortunately, not the best of photos. New to Merthyr Tydfil Transport(111), in 07/1987, registered D111NDW, this was one of three, D105/6/11NDW, acquired by the London Borough of Hillingdon, from Merthyr, in 12/1989 for the 128 - Hillingdon Local Service and although owned by the council, these were operated by London Buses from their Uxbridge depot. They joined two others, LX1/2, F101/2GRM, that were acquired new in 12/1988 but all did eventually pass to London Buses themselves in 09/1991 and as seen here on LX11, used on the 607 service from Uxbridge to Shepherd's Bush. It is seen here with a good load on Bakers Road, Uxbridge, having just left Uxbridge London Underground Station, the start of the route. The bus depot or garage in London terms, also being situated here.

The camera being a Praktica MTL3 with the film being a 'Fujichrome' colourslide.
