Ex-Liverpool Corporation. More details on this one please. There's not many that get me stumped, but this one has. It was once used as a mobile staff canteen I believe or even a 'not so' mobile canteen? It is seen here at the Merseyside Transport Trust premises, Burscough Industrial Estate, at their excellent Open & Running Day on 14/07/2019. © Peter Steel 2019.

New in 10/1958, this PD2 spent most of its service life at the Queens Road depot and it now resides next door in the Manchester Museum of Transport, Boyle Street. It is seen here alongside another preserved Manchester Corpy. vehicle, 74, BND874C, a Park Royal bodied Leyland Panther Cub PSRC1/1, new in 05/1965, on display at the 2017 Trans-Lancs Vehicle Show, Heaton Park, Manchester on 03/09/2017. © Peter Steel 2017.

Two contrasting Leyland Titans and not that many years between them are seen here in the Coach & Lorry Park, Morecambe, while attending the RVPT Running Day on 28/05/2017. On the left is preserved Barrow Corporation Transport 169, CEO956, a Park Royal bodied PD2/40, one of a batch of ten, 161-70(CEO948-57), new in October 1958. Two are preserved, this and sister 170(CEO957) with the Barrow Transport Group and 165(CEO952) is still in existence, albeit in open-top form with an open-rear staircase. 169 made a much welcome re-appearance on the rally circuit in 2016 after several years in store while awaiting a new engine. The paintwork only needed a good clean and a touch up. In contrast, on the right, is preserved Ribble 1775, RCK920, a full-fronted Metro-Cammel bodied PD3/5. Delivered to Ribble in 5/62, an early semi-automatic and a classic Ribble bus, these were known as 'Tanks'. © Peter Steel 2017.
