New to Selwyns, in 08/2021, this B11RT is seen here joining Chicago Way, Manchester Airport, having just departed from the bus/coach station on 19/06/2024. It is operating NX171 12:05 Liverpool One Bus Station - Liverpool Kensington Crown Street - Liverpool Kensington Deane Road - Liverpool Old Swan Ardleigh Road - Oak Park Vale - Hulme Fordton Leisure - Manchester Airport The Station - National Express Manchester Coach Station(Chorlton Street, to you and I(!)) - Miles Platting - - Failsworth Broadway - New Moston Leisure Centre - Chadderton Middleton Road - Bradford Nelson Street - Leeds Dyer Street Coach Station. A total journey time of 3hrs 35 mins. from Liverpool, 1hr. 10 mins. to the airport. It was about ten minutes down at this point. This coach has since passed to National Express Woods Coaches, working out of the Aston depot and has received fleetnumber 448 in the process.

To be honest, this wasn't one of the best places to stand but being unfamiliar with the layout it was the best I could do in a short visit. The bus/coach station wasn't as busy with vehicles as I thought it would be but there was variety to be had. © Peter Steel 2024.

New to Selwyn's in 02/2019, when under Le Groupe RATP control, this Scania is seen here on Great Moor Street, Bolton, on 25/10/2023. It would turn right here onto Newport Street, prior to entering Bolton Interchange. It is operating Service NX540 Burnley, by Croft Street Schools - Astley Bridge, Nell Street - Bolton Interchange - Manchester Chorlton Street Coach Station - Brook Furlong Milton Keynes Coachway - Finchley Road Station - Marble Arch - London Victoria Coach Station(Arrivals). On the left of the photo is Selwyn's Travel, Runcorn, CTU698S, a Plaxton Supreme bodied Volvo B58-61, new in 04/1978, while contrasting on the right is Barry Cooper's - Naylors, Stockton Heath, UTB542S, a Plaxton Viewmaster bodied Leyland Leopard PSU3E/4R, new in 01/1978 according to www.buslistsontheweb.co.uk. They are seen here on display at the former US Air Base, Burtonwood, for what I think was the North West Museum of Transport, Transport Festival in early 05/1978.

The film used was a Boots Colourslide II, with a Halina 1000 camera.
