Years back, most birds travelled south for the winter to escape Canada’s harsh weather conditions, but, in the past few years, it seems that some birds don’t get the memo and stick around. Found in small flocks, the European Starlings and the American Robins have developed effective survival strategies to withstand our cold weather.

These are ducks tracks on melting snow. Not often I see this as everything must fall into place for this to happen and, of course, be at the right place at the right time. The melting black spots look like noise in my image but it is not. It is just nature at its raw form.
