While photographing I've busted without noticing a couple of details on the other side and now an entire batch of shots is ruined :( But I'm happy that I could save at least this one.
I like how the real car feels nervous and slightly prancing and I tried to capture this in my build. If I'm not mistaken, the front wheels of the real car have been slightly moved towards the body from their original position on the chassis, which adds a lot to the "nervous" looks.

Here's a preview of an upcoming set of uploads.
I kind of lost appetite lately for this sort of... "intricate" build, but still I have a whole bunch of cars in this level of finish and I guess they all need to have their day before becoming better things.
PS - I forgot the link where you can see the real car and also a terrifying video of what driving it feels like.

Ever since I saw Manuel Nascimento's astounding rat rod, having it in small scale was an itch that badly needed scratching. I've built rat rods like this even before, but never in this "classic" layout. I only regret that not a single key part I've used for this one is available in dark brown, the car would have been so much better... :(
It comes with a new grille design - not perfect, but not all that bad either, I think. I've used a turntable for the upper part to keep the whole thing slim, but if you replace it with a round plate, all sorts of interesting options become available for attaching headlights, brackets etc - even plates with snap pins, which personally I find particularly difficult for this kind of car, in this scale.
If you haven't already, make sure you check Manuel's rat rod, you don't even need to like this kind of car to be left speechless by his MOC.

The very cool thing about Tin Lizzie is that in its two decades long lifespan there are so many body variations that you could build versions until your fingers go numb and never get bored. Well, I don’t… My favorite one must be the late 20’s with lower cabin/rooftop that marks the transition towards the equally famous Model A body.
Just one picture for now as I’m not yet set on the wheel/tire combos. It drives me crazy that I can never pair similar design wheels and tires for front and back on these cars and I would be happy if at least tires would come as a family, then I wouldn’t have to “build” these frankensteins on the fronts. I wonder how much longer until tire 92409 gets a similar treatment as the 5033 piece I’ve used on the rears. It wouldn’t be such a disaster to have a consistent design approach across the City line, don’t you think?
