I got this photo of a young tiger while visiting Steve Irwin's Australia Zoo. It is an excellent zoo. Everyone there was very friendly and helpful. One of the best zoos I have seen. I love Australia and have been blessed in being able to visit there 5 times.

I took this on of my trips to Australia at Steve Irwin's Australia Zoo. They were introducing a new cub to one of the very tolerant males. The cub was a sassy little guy. The big male eventually put him in his place. Very well kept beautiful zoo.

I took this photo on one of my trips to Australia at Steve Irwin's Australia Zoo. It is an outstanding zoo and well worth visiting if you happen to be in the area. The handlers go in with the tigers. Usually 3-4 handlers and 4-7 tigers. You can tell that the handlers are very well loved by the big cats.
This tiger was reacting to another tiger that was approaching it. Love the white ear spots. They introduce the cubs to the older cats while they are quite young. Some of the older males are very tolerant of the cubs and those are the ones they use. Cubs being cubs can get pretty rambunctious and the big males take it in stride. It is sad that there are so few tiger in the wild worldwide. They are really beautiful.
