A westbound for Elmhurst is crossing the Milwaukee Road and ducking under old C&NW signals at tower A-2. The PRR mainline took off to the right just beyond that silver signal box.

The still active former Milwaukee Road tower sees plenty of movements each day. The F40C fleet, on the other hand has mostly been retired, with only two remaining-neither of which are in active service at this time.

Reached by a remnant of the former PRR mainline that reached the north side of Chicago Union Station, this ADM facility is now served by Norfolk Southern. This job typically comes out around dusk, as the last commuter trains are departing on the adjacent Milwaukee and CNW lines, and will switch hoppers in and out until well after dark.
