What a stunning sky yesterday afternoon. Just had to get out and shoot some stuff with the wides. Took the Mamiya and the Nikon out. This was with my old 20mm manual on the Nikon. Sometimes even the power cables in Japan can be pretty.
Shot practically outside my back door. Beauty on, or in this case above, ones doorstep.

Shot walking into Shibuya from the MyJapan exhibition in Hiroo. This was the fence of a school. Great shapes overhead.
Bit grainy as I made one of the classic mistakes I teach people not to.... leaving the camera at high ISO after shooting in a dark place.

There was a ship alongside the pier in Takeshiba. Might have explained why there were so many people in an area of town that was practically emty last year. Still, I jumped over the railings and went down onto the quayside to get some shots with the sun, the ship and the Rainbow Bridge in the background.

Justin and I went ended up in the same place for this year's first sunrise as we were in for last year's. Wasn't entirely meant to pan-out like that, but the nearby place we wanted to be at was full of people.
A few more of Japanorama's photography students turned up. The brave ones! Thanks Charles, Rishi, Justin and Kane for coming out. It was a fun morning.
