Grab a deck of cards and invite your friends over for a game night on December 28 to celebrate. This unofficial holiday is dedicated to one of the most popular pastimes that has been around since at least the 9th century. A standard pack of cards may be used for playing a variety of card games, with varying elements of skill and chance, some of which are played for money.
