When news broke that a volcanic eruption occurred on Iceland, I immediately got started planning how to get a few days off work to visit the sight. As a matter of practice, I don't shoot video, but Iceland was the rare exception. It turns out the first day on my short trip to Iceland was the best weather that week to visit the volcano as it was only partly cloudy in the day and then turned overcast. The wind was blowing from left to right and away from the crowd, so no worries of inhaling toxic gases. It has been a goal to be up close to a live volcano, so that box is now checked. This video was taken with my little Canon G15.

To view it larger, requires hitting "control +" on a PC several times. Use "control -" to restore your screen to its original settings.
