I seem to have a strange interest in cheapo Far Eastern copies, especially ones that replicate old Tomica castings. The long running Tomica Daimler Fleetline bus has been copied by quite a few toy makers, this one by the little known Fullright company. I already have another example of this diecast bus but at just 99p from Ebay I couldn't resist getting this!
It has a nice weighty feel and is just as well cast and detailed as the Tomica version, it even comes in a box which copies the original Tomicas artwork. Mint and boxed.

Yet another copy of the long running Tomica Daimler Fleetline by another defunct Chinese manufacturer. This is probably one of the better ones in terms of quality. This has a nice weighty feel to it with a metal baseplate. The original box even copies the Tomica style of illustration and colours. Mint and boxed.

Quite a few Far Eastern toy manufacturers copied the Tomica Daimler Fleetline bus, all varying slightly in terms of quality. This one appears to be promoting tourism for Berlin. Mint and boxed.

The original Tomica London Bus casting was first introduced way back in 1977, a very good year I have to say ;-p, and unbelievably is still very much alive and well today. It continues to get regular recolours and updates and may well be around for another 40 + years! Naturally it got its fair share of cheapo copies like so many other Tomica products of the period yet in total contrast of the norm, it has actually outlived ALL of its pretenders.
This example appears to be one of the best copies, so much so that its actually often mistaken for the real thing and was I believe made by a company called Fullright who I don't really have any knowledge on. It uses an all metal construction which gives it a very meaty feeling of robustness and even has a Tomica like working suspension.
Not technically a London Bus at all as this Daimler Fleetline based bus with its extended bodywork was never available here in the U.K. Another very kind donation to my collection thanks to Mikaela.

Huddersfields historic outdoor market has a second hand event every tuesday and every saturday. I fairly have a quick mooch around the tuesday one though rarely ever buy any diecasts as they are either not priced which is a huge turn off for me or are seriously over priced! It has literally been decades since i've attended the saturday event but this weekend I did and am glad I did so.
One stall had everything priced and everything priced to sell meaning I picked up some really interesting stuff for just 2.00 each! That included this rather charming Daimler Fleetline bus which is clearly a Tomica copy, pretty much a carbon copy i'd say!
Made by a short lived and little known about Hong Kong based company called Fullright during the 1980's and possibly into the early 1990's. The only product i've ever seen is this bus which used to be a staple product on the souvenir merchandise scene and must have sold very well as they aren't considered particularly rare. Unusual for a Tomica copy is that its quality equals that of the original, its body and baseplate are made of heavy thick gauge metal plus it also has a Tomica-like working suspension too.
Mint and boxed.
