When I was a much younger diecast geek back in the very late 80's and well into the 90's my holidays to Spain would involve picking up several domestic brands such as Guisval, Mira, Guiloy, Gissima etc but these days most of these toy companies have long gone with only Guisval flying the flag. These days you are more likely to find cheapo Chinese brands like Feisu in the souvenir shops especially the many Chinese bazaars. Quality isn't too high on the agenda here but this little truck is available in a myriad of different colours and liveries to collect even if most of them make absolutely no sense word wise! Unlicensed but almost certainly based on an International Durastar its pretty well cast with enough painted detailing to make it believable. One of a few bought on my recent trip to Sitges. Mint and boxed.

The best place for me to get my cheapo Chinese diecast fix these days seems to be either AliExpress or the Chinese bazaars which are scattered around the Spanish coastal town of Sitges. They are full of the usual tat which you think you don't need but invariably always find something you do as they stock everything from beach accessories to electronics. Naturally I always end up in the toy aisles and although many of these bazaars now only seem to concentrate on bigger scale models I always manage to sniff out the smaller models :-)
My latest haul was a selection of these little trucks which appear to be based on the International Durastar and are made by a company called Feisu. They are totally unlicensed but somehow manage to include pretty much all of the Durastars design traits such as those wraparound front headlights and even its diamond shaped front badge! Quality is as you'd expect but it feels robust enough and is nicely detailed. Mint and boxed.

I don't think the Matchbox Dodge Magnum has anything to worry about in the company of this incredibly low end equivalent which is nothing less than a VERY cheapo copy of one originally made by the much missed Yatming. Made by Feisu it has clearly taken the bottom end approach to making 1/64 models with virtually no discernible features, detailing or even an interior but you know what? I'd still take one over the generic horrors supplied to most U.K. retailers by HTI! Part of a 12 vehicle set. Mint and boxed.

With its current obsession with 90's era Japanese vehicles surely its only a matter of time before the fifth generation Toyota Celica makes it into the Hot Wheels line up but until then I will have to settle for this rather crude rendition of one by Feisu. Its yet another one of their Yatming copies via being copied by Jin Dei Le which this Chinese company churn out, it lacks an interior and is noticeably light on the quality and accuracy front but is just about easily recognisable and as ever its Tomica style wheels are its high points. Part of a 12 vehicle set. Mint and boxed.

The real vehicle may well have been a relative flop but such an expensive BMW was always going to attract the toy makers to produce their own Z8 models with some extremely varying results! This is one of the most crude i've seen so far and is made by a company called Feisu who make low end diecasts which are usually copied from other makers such as Jin Dei Le, so much so that they are often mistakenly thought to come from the same factory. This Z8 is a copy of a Yatming via JDL copy and is noticeably crude in its appearance though unexpectedly its gleaming metallic silver paint has been well applied and I do really like its wheel design which are a cut above the usual cheapo designs. Part of a 12 vehicle set. Mint and boxed.
