Iceland is often called the land of fire and ice, but more than anything, I see it as the land of light. Nowhere else have I witnessed such spectacular displays, and this moment is, without a doubt, one of the most unique and beautiful I’ve ever had the chance to photograph.

We hiked to this location with our friends and @ibrynja, accompanied by her energetic Dalmatian. The landscape was completely shrouded in thick gray fog—we couldn’t see a thing. We waited, hoping for a change, but for a while, it seemed like we were entirely alone in an endless void.

Still, we refused to give up. After 45 minutes, the sun finally began to break through, like a beacon of hope. As the light grew stronger, we positioned ourselves, ready to capture the moment. And then, suddenly, the world transformed. What unfolded before us was beyond words—a scene so breathtaking, so otherworldly, that it was almost impossible to stay calm. It felt like a gift from Mother Nature herself, and for that fleeting moment, nothing else existed.

Throwing it back to one of our last photoshoots in Iceland with the stunning Nora. This crater in western Iceland felt like a hidden gem, surrounded by ancient lava fields. After a quick dip in a natural hot spring just 10 minutes away, we made our way to the red crater. Next time I visit Iceland, I can’t wait to explore even more of these otherworldly landscapes!

Denmark had truly enchanted us. The countryside, mist-laden mornings by the sea and lakes, the horses grazing in open fields—all wrapped in a tranquility that felt like a balm after our long journey through the Nordic countries.

Lately, I’ve been immersed in the musical works of Jacob LaVallee, whose compositions have become a source of deep inspiration. They are mesmerizing, calming my restless mind, and I feel they were the perfect soundtrack for editing this image of Laos, captured during one of the most beautiful sunrises we’ve recently witnessed.

That morning, I awoke to a soft, rosy hue filtering through the van window. Compelled by the colors, I got dressed and stepped outside with the camera and the dogs, without any particular expectations. Often, the mist keeps the sun’s warmth from touching our still-drowsy faces, but after a short while, I watched as the sun gently broke through, casting its warm rays and slowly painting the sky in its light.
