7412 Stream Walk Ln, Manassas, VA 20109
As you may have known, Walmart landed in the greater Washington, D.C. area with this store on May 7, 1992. This standard store outlasted a few remodels and a changing market before moving to the Manassas Mall (as a Supercenter) in 2009. As of when they closed, the original "WAL-MART" signage (minus the star) was still present as well as an older decor package.
The former hhgregg shown here opened on November 2010 being the first of three tenants subdivided in the Walmart space to open. hhgregg in particular took over the leftmost section where the main entrance was, thus the distinct pylons (amongst the Walmart patterns on the side).
Following the numerous financial woes hhgregg suffered, the company announced closing more than 50 east-coast stores including this one in March 2017. They had fully liquidated by April, around the time hhgregg fully disintegrated.
Besides Halloween City operating in this space this past fall, the store remains continuously empty with no plans for a replacement (as of yet). The exterior signage and interior decor remain intact as of this day.
