Just for Fun
+===================+
Near where we walk there is a polo field and today we were lucky enough to see a match.
One of the first photo jobs I can recall was photographing a country polo event.
Not the Geebung Polo Club, of Banjo Patterson, but close enough.
What I enjoy about these events is not the riding skill or the clever gamesmanship, but rather the skill of the horse to turn on impossible angles and still maintain balance.
We watched a couple of Chukkas and then moved on.

Black-faced Cuckooshrike, Coracina novaehollandiae
+==================+
Think it might have captured a cicada, there were certainly a lot of them singing in the area.

White-faced Heron, Egretta novaehollandiae,
+================+
I can't ever recall seeing a White-faced Heron with contrasting wing tips. Serveral of the flight feathers are white on each wing. It is more pronouced with the bird seen from the top angle.
Just curious if anyone else has seen it, or have I just been missing something.÷

Black-shouldered Kite, Elanus axillaris, Magpie-lark, Grallina cyanoleuca
+===============+
While Maddie waited for breakfast to arrive, a pair of friendly Magpie-larks came in to serande her.
Aren't birds kind :-)

From her look I think a title of "I've heard it all before", or perhaps "Do you know any songs with Goodbye in them?" Would also suit.

Collared Sparrowhawk, Accipiter cirrhocephalus
+================+
At first I thought the young birds were still playing. Until I discovered this one very agitated and moving from branch to branch. Eventaully I managed a clear look, and it had taken a New Holland Honeyeater.
