Black Kite, Milvus migrans
≠============≠
I'd watched this Kite fly down the River, but lost it about 1/2km down.
About 10 minutes later it re-appeared carrying the stick, first in its claws and then transferred it to its beak.
It continued on up river until I lost sight of it behind a tree line.
Autumn is usually a bit early for them to begin nesting.
However they have been fairly absent, perhaps up north, the past few months and maybe they have returned for an early start.
