Black- Kite

The recent few trips to the Western Treatmentn Plant have found a Black Kite on a tree on the Paradise Rd entry. Not sure ifs always the same bird, but nice to think it could be.

Nankeen Kestrel

This bird was another of the raptors that have been hunting crickets on the ground.
She paused in her work for a rest break in the sunshine.
Red-necked Avocet

I was following these birds as a flock approached, and then with a turn on the wing, they dropped into a sharp dive and landed on the beach. I rarely see them in the air, so it was quite unexpected to see the rapid descent.
