Seems like only a week or so since they fledged, and already they are 'securing the parking area' of unwanted ravens, doves and wattlebirds.
Mostly I suspect so they can gain experience of high speed manoeuvring
In between their rounds there is also time to practice the finer points of in-air capture.

It very gingerly walked along the log, but apart from a couple of small slips, it didn't loose its footing.

The young bird has spread its wings out to protect any other bird noticing its food.
Mantling is a behavior many birds of prey assume after securing a kill.
With the wings spread out the mantle of the back of the bird is exposed.
